Data Sources & Compliance

Last updated: February 2026

Purpose of This Page

WeBid2Win is committed to transparent, lawful, and ethical data practices. This page explains exactly where the data displayed on our Platform comes from, how it is collected, how it is used, and the limits we place on its use. We publish this information openly so that dealerships, data providers, OEMs, and regulators can clearly understand our approach.

Our Commitment WeBid2Win does not scrape, automate, or bypass any third-party system. We do not redistribute proprietary data. We operate within the boundaries of applicable law and respect the intellectual property of all third parties.

About WeBid2Win — Marketplace Platform, Not a Dealer

WeBid2Win is a technology platform and online marketplace — not a licensed automotive dealer, broker, or auctioneer. We do not buy, sell, or take any interest in any vehicle. All transactions occur directly and exclusively between independent licensed dealerships. WeBid2Win's role is limited to providing the software infrastructure that allows those dealers to connect, communicate, and share vehicle information with each other.

1. Manually Observed Auction Data

The auction transaction data available on WeBid2Win originates from the personal, contemporaneous observations of licensed automotive dealers who attend live automotive auctions in their professional capacity.

The type of data recorded includes:

  • Hammer prices (the final sale price at which a vehicle sold at auction);
  • Condition grades expressed as numeric scores (e.g., 3.5 out of 5.0) as publicly announced during the auction lane;
  • Announced disclosures or announcements made publicly in the auction lane; and
  • Vehicle identification details (year, make, model, trim, odometer) as displayed or announced.
This is not a reproduction of any proprietary report. The recording of publicly announced transaction prices and condition grades by an attendee is analogous to a licensed dealer taking notes during an auction — a standard, accepted industry practice.

This observed data is entered into our Platform by authorized users and used to build WeBid2Win's own proprietary valuation models. It does not constitute a copy, reproduction, or redistribution of any third-party proprietary database.

2. No Scraping, No Automation, No Unauthorized Access

WeBid2Win does NOT use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access any third-party platform.

Specifically:

  • We do not use automated scripts or bots to access Manheim, OVE, ADESA, or any other auction platform;
  • We do not scrape, harvest, or extract data from any third-party website or service;
  • We do not bypass authentication systems, rate limits, or technical access controls on any platform;
  • We do not use screen scraping or automated navigation of any third-party user interface; and
  • WeBid2Win does not operate any automated systems to collect, extract, or transmit data from any third-party platform on behalf of any dealer or on our own behalf.

Dealers who use the Platform are responsible for ensuring that their own methods of accessing and recording data comply with their respective agreements with the platforms they access.

3. No Redistribution of Proprietary Manheim Content

WeBid2Win does not access, reproduce, store, or redistribute any proprietary content owned by Manheim or its parent company Cox Automotive. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Manheim Market Report (MMR) data in bulk or exportable form;
  • Condition Report (CR) documents, images, or scores as generated by Manheim;
  • Manheim auction photos or vehicle imagery;
  • Manheim-generated PDFs or reports of any kind; and
  • Any other proprietary database records or reports owned by Cox Automotive or its affiliates.

WeBid2Win is not a Manheim data partner and makes no claim to any Manheim intellectual property.

4. OEM Window Sticker Data (Public Sources)

WeBid2Win may retrieve vehicle window sticker information to assist dealers with appraisals. This information is obtained exclusively from publicly available, consumer-facing VIN lookup tools provided by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including but not limited to:

  • Ford Motor Company's public VIN label lookup;
  • General Motors' public window sticker service;
  • Stellantis' public label lookup tools; and
  • Other OEM-provided, publicly accessible VIN lookup services.

These OEM tools are designed for and made freely available to the general public — consumers, dealers, and researchers alike. WeBid2Win accesses these tools in the same manner as any member of the public. We do not bypass authentication, access private dealer portals, or use proprietary data feeds for this purpose.

WeBid2Win does not redistribute OEM window sticker PDFs or images. Where sticker data is parsed and displayed within the Platform, only structured option and specification data (such as packages, key options, and engine details) is shown — derived from the publicly retrieved sticker content.

5. WeBid2Win Proprietary Valuation Models

WeBid2Win has developed its own proprietary valuation methodology using:

  • Manually observed auction transaction data recorded over time by licensed dealers;
  • WeBid2Win's own depreciation models and adjustment factors;
  • CAD/USD exchange rate data from public sources;
  • Market trend analysis based on the Platform's own historical appraisal data; and
  • Dealer-entered condition, mileage, and specification information.

These models and the resulting valuations are the original intellectual property of WeBid2Win. They are not derived from, licensed from, or dependent upon any proprietary third-party valuation service.

6. MMR Data — Not Provided or Accessed by WeBid2Win

WeBid2Win does not provide, supply, retrieve, access, or integrate with Manheim Market Report (MMR) data in any way. WeBid2Win has no connection to Manheim or any Cox Automotive system.

The Platform includes an optional data entry field where a buying dealer may choose to record an MMR value they have independently obtained through their own Manheim account, entirely outside of and prior to using WeBid2Win. This is a plain text input field — equivalent to a dealer writing a number in a notepad. WeBid2Win plays no role in retrieving, calculating, verifying, or supplying any MMR value.

The following rules apply to any MMR value a dealer chooses to enter:

  • The value was obtained by the dealer independently through their own Manheim account, outside of WeBid2Win;
  • The value is visible only within that dealer's own appraisal record — it is never displayed to selling dealers, other buying dealers, or any third party;
  • WeBid2Win does not store MMR values in any shared or exportable format; and
  • Each dealer's use of MMR data is governed entirely by their own agreement with Manheim and Cox Automotive — WeBid2Win is not a party to that relationship.

7. Dealer Data Protection

Dealer-submitted data (vehicle photos, appraisal notes, bid values, contact information) is stored securely and is accessible only to the authorized users of the submitting or connected dealership. WeBid2Win does not sell dealer data to any third party.

For full details on personal data handling, please review our Privacy Policy.

7a. Account Deletion & Right to Erasure

WeBid2Win users have the right to permanently delete their account and associated personal data at any time. We provide two ways to initiate account deletion:

  • iOS App: Open the WeBid2Win app, go to the Profile tab, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm twice before the deletion proceeds. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
  • Web Portal: Log in at webid2win.com, navigate to your Profile, and use the account deletion option — or contact us at support@webid2win.com with the subject line Account Deletion Request and we will process your request within 5 business days.

What is deleted

  • Your account credentials (email address, password hash, display name);
  • All personal profile information (business name, phone number, address);
  • All vehicle appraisal submissions associated with your account;
  • All bid records submitted under your account;
  • Push notification device tokens;
  • All session tokens and authentication credentials; and
  • Any active paid subscription — set to non-renewing at the time of deletion. You will not be billed again. No partial-period refund is issued, as paid access technically remains until the end of your last billing period (however your account will no longer exist to use it).

What may be retained

Aggregated, non-identifiable transaction or valuation data derived from your activity may be retained as part of WeBid2Win's proprietary valuation models, as it cannot be attributed to any individual once personal identifiers have been removed. WeBid2Win may also retain records required by applicable law or for the resolution of any outstanding legal disputes.

Account deletion is permanent. Once confirmed, your account and all associated personal data cannot be recovered. If you need assistance or have questions before proceeding, please contact us at support@webid2win.com.

8. Third-Party Intellectual Property

WeBid2Win respects the intellectual property rights of all third parties. We do not reproduce, republish, relicense, or redistribute data, reports, images, or any other content owned by Manheim, Cox Automotive, OEMs, or any other data provider without express authorization.

All third-party trademarks, service marks, and logos referenced on this Platform belong to their respective owners. Reference to any third-party service or brand does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

9. Commitment to Legal Compliance

WeBid2Win is committed to operating in full compliance with applicable law, including:

  • Canadian federal and provincial privacy law (PIPEDA and provincial equivalents);
  • US state privacy laws applicable to our US-based dealer users;
  • Copyright and intellectual property law in Canada and the United States;
  • The Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) and equivalent Canadian statutes; and
  • All applicable data protection, automotive dealer, and consumer protection regulations.

We review our data practices regularly and update them as laws and circumstances change. If you are a data provider or rights holder with a question or concern about our practices, we encourage you to contact us directly.

10. Compliance Inquiries

If you are a data provider, OEM, regulatory body, or other rights holder with questions or concerns about WeBid2Win's data practices, please contact us. We are committed to responding promptly and transparently.
